New acting students must audition so that we can cast* them in the most appropriate role in the production.
*applicable to summer camps that have a production/performance.
Students send a short video (under 1.5 minutes) telling us:
1) their name, age, grade in school, which class/camp and session # if applicable
(example: My name is Jane Smith, 13 years old, 8th grade, TV/Film Acting Session 1)
2) their favorite activity, TV show, or movie
(example: I love making TikToks, or I enjoy cheerleading/playing a sport, or I love to watch Percy Jackson on Disney, or movies like Spider-Man, Barbie, Hunger Games, etc.)
3) what makes them laugh (example: my friend makes me laugh when... or when my pet dog does...)
Email your video audition to info@friscofilmschool.com
You can also upload your video to YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive and email us a link to it.
Nope, the audition is free.
Within a few days we will watch your amazing video and respond to you via email or text (where ever you sent the audition video from) to let you know if we've placed you into the class/camp session you registered for.
If you are auditioning for a Summer Camp that has a production/performance, please know that we try to have a diverse ensemble across ages 10-17, but generally have fewer spaces for younger kids, so send your audition video ASAP for consideration.
No, this only applies to Acting Students. Filmmaking students go through a brief interview process mentioned here.
